Mirror, Rearview: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12 volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12 volt system. You must perform the 12 volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
- Using a small pry tool, remove the cover (2) located on the rear of the mirror.
- Remove the harness cover (1).
- Disconnect the harness (1) from the rear view mirror (2).
- Disengage the tab that secures the rear view mirror (2) to the support bracket/button on the inside of the windshield glass.
- Slide the rear view mirror upward to remove.
