DECKLID/Hatch/Liftgate/Tailgate/Swing Gate: Latch: Installation

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12 volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12 volt system. You must perform the 12 volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

Connect the harness connector (2) to the latch (1).
Position the latch into liftgate access cavity.

Install the fasteners (1) to the latch. Tighten fasteners to 8 Nm (6 lbf-ft).
Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to INSTALLATION .
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power up the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Connect the 12 volt negative battery cable.
