Knob, Gearshift: Removal

Using Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) (1), pry the collar (2) downward away from the shifter knob.

NOTE:
When removing the spring you will be pushing from the driver side towards the passenger side of the vehicle.

NOTE:
Position your hand to capture the spring as it can be lost during this process.
Use an appropriate size hex key (2) or the equivalent to press out the retaining spring (1).

Firmly pull up on shifter knob and remove from the shifter shaft.
