Valve Body: Installation: Installation

  1. Connect the linkage rod to the valve body and install to the transmission.
  2. Install the clip to the linkage rod (1).

  3. Install the valve body bolts. The longer bolts (1) are installed in the positions shown above.

  4. Install the remaining bolts. Hand tighten the bolts evenly in sequence. Final tightening of the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lbf-in) in the sequence shown above.

  5. Install the speed sensor connector (1) to the solenoid clamp.

  6. Install the sensor (3) to the valve body, install the oil temperature sensor clamp (2) and the bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to 7 Nm (62 lbf-in).

  7. Connect the solenoid connectors and the speed sensor connectors (1).
  8. Connect the wire harness to the clamps.

    CAUTION:

    Do not over apply sealant as fluid contamination may occur.

  9. Install a small and uniform bead of 3 bond gasket sealer to the side cover.

  10. Install the side cover and the side cover bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lbf-ft).
  11. Install the electric cooling fan. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  12. Install the battery tray. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  13. Install the engine cover (1). Refer to INSTALLATION or INSTALLATION for naturally aspirated models .
  14. Re-fill the transmission fluid. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE  .

  1. Install a NEW  O-ring (1) and gasket (2) on the connector.

  2. Install the wiring harness in the transmission. Install the connector retaining clip (1.

  3. Install the wiring harness loom (1) and fastener (2). Tighten the fastener to 7 Nm (62 lbf-in).

  4. Install the speed sensor connector (1) on the solenoid clamp.

  5. Install the sensor (3) in the valve body, install the oil temperature sensor clamp (2) and the bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to 7 Nm (62 lbf-in).

  6. Connect the solenoid connectors and the speed sensor connectors (1).
  7. Connect the wire harness to the clamps.
  8. Install the side cover. Refer to VALVE BODY, INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the Transmission Control Module (TCM). Refer to MODULE, TRANSMISSION CONTROL (TCM), INSTALLATION .
