A/C Discharge Line Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12 volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12 volt system. You must perform the 12 volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

Remove the electric motor trim cover.
Power down the high voltage system
Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
Recover the refrigerant
Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the cooling module
Refer to MODULE, A/C AND HEATER, REMOVAL .

Remove the Electric A/C Compressor (EAC) discharge fitting nut (1), and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal.
- Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and ports.

Remove the LH lower A/C discharge line bracket bolt (1).

Remove the RH upper A/C discharge line bracket bolt (1).
Remove the A/C discharge line.
