Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Diagnose and repair any Lost Communication or CAN C BUS DTCs before continuing with this diagnostic procedure.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With a scan tool, select View DTCs.
Is the status Active for this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK OTHER MODULES FOR LOST SPEED CONTROL MESSAGE DTCS
- With a scan tool, check if any other modules have a Lost Speed Control Message DTC present.
Were any Lost Speed Control DTCs present in any other modules?
Yes
- Replace and program the Body Control Module in accordance with the service information. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- With a scan tool, check if any other modules have a Lost Speed Control Message DTC present.
