With Manual Transmission

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
- Drain the engine oil. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE .
- 5. Remove the exhaust flange nuts (1).
- Remove the front exhaust pipe support bolt (2).
- Remove the front exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter nuts.
- Remove and discard the catalytic converter to front exhaust pipe gasket.
- Remove three bolts (1) from the flywheel dust cover.
- Remove the two lower transmission bell housing bolts (2).NOTE:
The flywheel dust cover (2) is bolted to the oil pan and cannot be removed at this time.
- Remove fourteen bolts (1), two nuts and two studs (2) from the flange of the oil pan.
- Using the four indicated pry points, carefully remove the oil pan and flywheel dust cover.
- Remove the bolt (1) and the flywheel dust cover (2) from the oil pan.
- Remove all residual sealant (1) from the oil pan, engine block, oil pump and rear seal retainer. Refer to PAN, OIL, CLEANING .
