Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

NOTE:
Do not reuse the flexplate retaining bolts (3).
- Position the flexplate (1) onto the crankshaft.
- Install the new bolts (3) hand tight.
- Install the (special tool #10272, Tool, Flywheel Locking) (2).
- Tighten the six flexplate bolts (2) in two steps as follows:
- Step 1: All to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.) in a criss-cross pattern
- Step 2: All rotated 50° in a criss-cross pattern.
- Install the transmission. Refer to INSTALLATION .
