Lamp, Tail Stop Turn: Removal: Lamp

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the negative 12 volt battery cable.
- Open the liftgate to access and remove the two screws (3) that secure the rear lamp unit (2) to the side trough of the liftgate opening.
- Pull the outboard side of the rear lamp unit rearward far enough to unsnap the two ball studs on the outboard side of the lamp housing from the two grommets in the quarter outer panel.
- Pull the lamp away from the vehicle far enough to access and disconnect the body wire harness connector (1) from the socket plate connector receptacle on the back of the lamp housing.
