Diagnostic Test

VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE
NOTE:
This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.
1. Ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
3. With the scan tool, read and record Freeze Frame information.
4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
5. Ignition on, in Ready Mode.
6. Press the brake pedal firmly and release.
7. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
  Is the DTC active at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the ABS INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Refer to ABS INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE
1. Turn the ignition off. Remove the key from the Ignition Switch, close doors and allow the ABS Module to shut down.
  NOTE:
  Allow up to two minutes for the ABS Module to shut down. Opening the vehicle door will interrupt the shut down process.
2. Replace the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS), REMOVAL .
3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
4. Ignition on, in Ready Mode.
5. Press the brake pedal firmly and release.
6. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
  Does the DTC remain active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) in accordance with the service information. Refer to REMOVAL .
  - Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test complete.
