Cover(S), Engine Timing: Removal: Removal

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the air cleaner body (2). Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .

Remove the bolt (5) and reposition the turbocharger wastegate solenoid (4).

Disengage the following retainers from the upper timing belt cover (1):
- Evaporative emissions purge hose (4).
- After run coolant pump return hose (3).
- Wastegate solenoid pressure inlet hose (2).

Remove the bolts (2 and 3) and the upper timing belt cover (1).

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
Remove the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .

Remove the accessory drive belt (4). Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

Remove the vibration damper (1). Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, REMOVAL .

Remove the bolt (2) and the lower timing belt cover (1).
