NOTE:

The Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) (1) is serviced only as a complete unit. This CHMSL is illuminated by several Light-Emitting Diode (LED) units that can only be serviced by replacement of the CHMSL.

Open the liftgate.
Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the liftgate spoiler. Refer to SPOILER, REMOVAL .

Remove the two fasteners (2) securing the CHSML (1) to the spoiler.
Remove the CHSML from the spoiler.
