Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Using the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
4. With the scan tool, read Amplifier DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION
LEFT REAR TWEETER/SPEAKER ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker and Amplifier harness connectors.
3. Check for the presence of loose or damaged connections at the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker and Amplifier harness connectors.
  Were there signs of any of the connections being loose or damaged?
  
  Yes
  - Restore the correct connections.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK THE LEFT REAR TWEETER/SPEAKER FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Check for continuity between ground and the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker Signal circuit at the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker harness connector.
  Was a short to ground detected?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the Left Rear Tweeter/Speaker Signal circuit for a short to ground.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - End of diagnosis.
