NOTE:

Do not reuse the flexplate retaining bolts (3).

1. Position the flexplate (1) onto the crankshaft.
2. Install the new bolts (3) hand tight.
3. Install the (special tool #10272, Tool, Flywheel Locking) (2).
4. Tighten the six flexplate bolts (2) in two steps as follows:
   • Step 1: All to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.) in a crisscross pattern
   • Step 2: All rotated 50° in a crisscross pattern.
5. Install the transmission. Refer to INSTALLATION .
