Mechanism, Gearshift: Removal: Removal

  1. Ensure that the transmission is in neutral prior to the start of this procedure.
  2. Detach gearshift boot from console.
  3. Remove the lower instrument panel bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, LOWER, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the selector cable (1) and the shift cable (2) from the shifter assembly.

  5. Remove the cable retention clips (1) from the shifter assembly.

  6. Remove the nuts and bolt.
  7. Remove the gearshift assembly.
