Actuator, RECIRCULATION Door: Removal: Removal

WARNING:
Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
NOTE:
Manual Temperature Control (MTC) shown. Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) similar.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the passenger side silencer panel. Refer to PANEL, SILENCER, REMOVAL .
- Remove the screw (2) that secures the passenger side console closeout cover (1).
- Using Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, disengage the console closeout cover rear retaining clips.
- Pull the console closeout cover rearward to disengage the front retaining tab and remove the cover.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the recirculation door actuator (4), located on the bottom of the HVAC air inlet housing (3).
- Remove the two screws (2 and 5) that secure the recirculation door actuator to the air inlet housing and remove the actuator.
