Seat, Front: Removal: Removal

WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

NOTE:

Base model shown, other models typical unless noted.

NOTE:

Driver side shown, passenger side typical unless noted.

  1. On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
  3. Position the seat forward.
  4. Remove the seat to floor bolts (1, 2) located in the rear area of the front seat.

  5. Passenger side seats, remove the harness cover (2) by pulling the retaining pins (1).

  6. Position the seat rearward.
  7. Remove the seat to floor bolts (1).
  8. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors.

  9. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
