Bezel, Shifter: Removal: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
- Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, pry the shifter bezel (1) to disengage it's retaining tabs.
- Disconnect the three electrical connectors (1) on the bottom of the electronic shifter switch bezel.
- Remove the electronic shifter switch bezel from the vehicle.
