Instrument Panel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially remove the instrument panel support to gain access to the air outlet temperature sensor (3), located on the upper right side of the HVAC housing (4). Refer to PANEL, INSTRUMENT, REMOVAL .
  3. Using Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) (1) or equivalent, disengage the air duct temperature sensor from the HVAC housing.
  4. Disconnect the HVAC wire harness (2) from the air outlet temperature sensor and remove the sensor.
