Tube, Fuel Tank Filler: Installation: Installation

  1. Position the fuel connector hose to the fuel filler tube.
  2. Position the fuel filler tube to the filler inlet on the vehicle body.
  3. Install the connector hose (5) to the fuel tank inlet (4).
  4. Install the filler tube stabilizer bracket bolt (2). Tighten bolt to 9 N.m (80 in lbs.).
  5. Tighten the clamps to the connector hose.

  6. Install the screws (2) that secure the filler tube to the body.

    NOTE:

    Left rear splash shield shown in illustration, right rear splash shield similar.

  7. Install the right rear wheel splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, INSTALLATION .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Install the fuel filler cap.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
