Cooler, Transmission Oil: Removal: Removal

- Lift the vehicle and remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
- Drain the coolant into a clean container. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Drain the transmission fluid into a clean container.NOTE:
The hose clamps are not reusable and must be replaced.
- Remove the hose clamps (4) from the cooler and discard.
- Remove the hoses from the cooler (1).NOTE:
When separating the oil cooler from the trans. Some oil will begin to leak from the transmission. Let the oil drain into a clean container.
- Remove the transmission oil cooler mounting bolt (3).
- Remove the transmission oil cooler (2) from the vehicle.
- Remove and discard the O-rings (1) and (2).
