The steel rear axle on this vehicle is a twist beam design. It is a one piece unit that is serviced as an assembly if components are bent or damaged. There is a bushing pressed into the front of each side of the axle assembly; the bushings are not serviced separately. Two coil spring perches are mounted to its top surface in line with the rear wheel center. The axle is mounted to its location on the body with three bolts on each side of the assembly.
