Sentry Key Transponder Programming

All Sentry Keys included with the vehicle are pre-programmed to work with the Body Control Module (BCM) when the vehicle is shipped from the factory. The BCM can be programmed to recognize up to a total of eight Sentry Key transponder units. When adding or replacing a Sentry Key transponder, the new Sentry Key must be ordered by Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) already cut to match the lock cylinders in the vehicle for which it will be used. Once the mechanical key has been cut, the BCM must be programmed to recognize it as a valid key transponder. See the procedure titled, Programming Keys To The BCM  using the following link.
