Console, Overhead: Removal: Removal

WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, disconnecting the 12-volt battery negative cable alone will not power down the 12-volt system. You must perform the 12-volt Power Down procedure before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, power down the 12 volt system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the negative 12-volt battery cable.
- Using a trim stick, pry down to release the clips (2), and remove the Overhead Lighting Module (OLM) (3) from the overhead console (1).
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lighting module as needed, and remove the module.
- Pull downward on the sides of the overhead console housing (4) firmly and evenly to disengage the snap clips (3) from the overhead console bracket (1).
- Lower the overhead console far enough to access the wire harness connector (2).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector from the connector receptacle as needed.
- Remove the overhead console.
