Lamp, Dome: Installation: Lamp

NOTE:
The dome lamp may include two switches that allow independent switching of the two lamps for use as reading lamps or to override the door ajar switch activation of these lamps. Also, on vehicles equipped with the Blue And Me option, the dome lamp may include an integral microphone. If the switches, the lamp wiring or the microphone are damaged or ineffective, the entire dome lamp unit must be replaced.
- Position the dome lamp unit (2) close enough to the mounting bracket in the headliner (1) to access and reconnect the wire harness connector to the back of the lamp. If equipped, also reconnect the wire harness connector to the Blue And Me microphone.
- Position the dome lamp unit (2) to the mounting bracket in the headliner with the switches oriented toward the rear of the vehicle.
- Align and insert the dome lamp locator features into the mounting bracket.
- Using hand pressure, press the lamp firmly and evenly upward over the lamp retainers until the retainers snap into place.
- Connect the 12 volt negative battery cable.
- Power up the high voltage system. Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
