Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
This DTC should not exist on its own. If any other DTCs are present, refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedure in this section first before continuing.
NOTE:
If a new TPM Module was installed, the vehicle must remain stationary for 20 minutes before proceeding with this diagnostic procedure.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read TPM Module DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase TPM Module DTCs.
- Test drive the vehicle at a speed greater than 20 km/h (13 mph) for 20 minutes in order to receive TPM Sensor data and allow for the system to update.
- With the scan tool, read TPM Module DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Install a new TPM Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TPM VERIFICATION .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TPM VERIFICATION .
