Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

NOTE:

This DTC should not exist on its own. If any other DTCs are present, refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedure in this section first before continuing.

NOTE:

If a new TPM Module was installed, the vehicle must remain stationary for 20 minutes before proceeding with this diagnostic procedure.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read TPM Module DTCs and record on the repair order.
With the scan tool, erase TPM Module DTCs.
Test drive the vehicle at a speed greater than 20 km/h (13 mph) for 20 minutes in order to receive TPM Sensor data and allow for the system to update.
With the scan tool, read TPM Module DTCs.
Did the DTC return?

Yes
- Install a new TPM Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TPM VERIFICATION .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the TPM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TPM VERIFICATION .
