Visual Check Of 3-Phase Wiring Harness Between E-Motor And PIM
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE to perform the High Voltage Power Down procedure.
- Verify correct connection order (pinning) between PIM and e-Motor.
- Verify that harness conections are tight and secure at PIM and e-Motor.
- Check for damage (bends, squeezes, damage to terminal ends).
- If contacts on the wiring harness are damaged or have moderate to high corrosion, then replace 3-Phase Wiring Harness.
- If PIM contacts to wiring harness are damaged or moderate to high corrosion, then replace PIM.
- If e-Motor contacts to wiring harness are damaged or moderate to high corrosion, then replace e-Motor.
