Isolation Measurements Of PIM

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING:

On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

Refer to ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE to perform the High Voltage Power Down procedure.

  3. Disconnect the C2 High Voltage Connector (2) for circuits H300F and H301F from the High Voltage Battery. Using a jumper wire, contact circuits H300F and H301F together at the C2 connector end at the end of the Wire Harness.
  4. Allow the circuits to stabilize for 10 seconds, then check the Resistance between the PIM Housing and the C2 High Voltage connector end (H300F, H301F), using a qualified Isolation tester.
  5. If the measurement is not greater than 2.5M?, replace PIM.
