- CHECK RESOLVER SENSOR HARNESS
- Disconnect resolver sensor wiring harness from PIM (28-way) and from e-Motor (6-way connector WITH yellow clip).
- Inspect for tight attachment, damage (worn insulation, bends, tears).
- Check the harness for connector pin corrosion on both sides of the wiring harness. If resolver sensor wiring harness connectors have moderate to high corrosion, then replace wiring harness.

Replace or repair Resolver Sensor Harness in accordance with the service procedure.
- POWER INVERTER MODULE (PIM)
- Disconnect the Resolver Sensor Harness 6-way connector from the e-Motor, and connect the 28-way connector to the PIM.
- Using a multimeter with frequency range of 10kHz or greater or Oscilloscope, with ignition on apply negative probe to pin 1, positive probe to pin 6 at the e-Motor side of the connector.
- If you are using multimeter, the reading should be 5.4Vrms-6.9Vrms. If you are using an Oscilloscope, the wave form should be Sinusoidal with 10kHz and 5.4Vrms-6.9Vrms.
- Measure the Voltage between pin 6 and Ground and between pin 1 and Ground. If you are using multimeter, the reading should be, DC- 13.2V to 16.4V, AC- 15.8Vrms to 19.9Vrms. If you are using an Oscilloscope, you should have a good signal Sine with 10kHz, DC offset of 13.2V to 16.4V and amplitude of 2.6Vrms to 3.5Vrms.
Are the readings within these specifications?

- CHECK ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE OF RESOLVER WINDINGS
- Perform measurement at the 6-way connector WITH yellow clip on the e-Motor.
- Measure electrical resistance of the 3 windings: Between Pins 2 and 3, pins 4 and 5 and pins 1 and 6.
Is the value between 23.46 and 31.74Ohms?
