Diagnostic Test

- CHECK IF THE DTC IS ACTIVE
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
- If DTC P0C19-00 is active, Using the written service procedure for this DTC, perform the diagnostic repair procedure first.
Is the status for DTC P0607-00 Active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Refer to the Environmental Data that you recorded, If this DTC has occurred more than 3 times. go to 5.
- Refer to the Environmental Data that you recorded, If this DTC has occurred less than 3 times, then the condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE MASTER EV WAKE UP SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the EVCU harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the Master EV Wake Up Signal circuit in the EVCU harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the Master EV Wake Up Signal circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT (EVCU)
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the power and ground wiring and connectors to the Electric Vehicle Control Unit (EVCU).
- Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched or partially broken wires.
- Look for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminals.
- Perform any Technical Service Bulletins that may apply.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
- Go to 4.
No
- Replace and program the Electric Vehicle Control Module (EVCU) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL (EVCU), REMOVAL .
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK IF THE DTC IS ACTIVE
- With the scan tool, record the Environmental Data for this DTC.
- Clear the DTC.
- Ignition off wait at least one minute.
- Turn the ignition on, vehicle in ready mode.
- With the scan tool check for active DTCs.
Did the DTC reset?
Yes
- Go To 5
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- POWER INVERTER MODULE
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched or partially broken wires.
- Look for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminals. Verify that there is good pin to terminal contact.
- Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins that may apply.
Were there any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Power Inverter Module (PIM). Refer to MODULE, POWER INVERTER (PIM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
