Diagnostic Test

- Electric Vehicle Control Unit (EVCU) DTCs
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, view DTCs in the EVCU Module.
Are there any EVCU DTCs present?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate EVCU diagnostics in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 2.
- CHECK THE OBCM WAKE-UP SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the OBCM C1 harness connector.
- Disconnect the EVCU C1 harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between the OBCM Wake-up Signal circuit and all other circuits at the OBCM C1 harness connector.
Is the resistance above 10k Ohms between the OBCM Wake-up Signal circuit and all other circuits?
Yes
- Go To 3.
No
- Repair the OBCM Wake-up Signal circuit for a short to the circuit that measured below 10k Ohms.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE OBCM WAKE-UP SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
- Measure the resistance of the OBCM Wake-up Signal circuit between the OBCM harness connector and the EVCU harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 4.
No
- Repair the OBCM Wake-up Signal circuit for an open or high resistance.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
- Measure the resistance of the OBCM Wake-up Signal circuit between the OBCM harness connector and the EVCU harness connector.
- CHECK THE GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
- Measure the resistance of the Ground circuit between the OBCM harness connector and the EVCU harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 5.
No
- Repair the Ground circuit for an open or high resistance.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
- Measure the resistance of the Ground circuit between the OBCM harness connector and the EVCU harness connector.
- ON-BOARD CHARGING MODULE
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the connectors at the Charge Port connector and the On-Board Charging Module (OBCM).
- Look for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminals.
- Perform any Technical Service Bulletins that may apply.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the On-Board Charging Module in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, ON-BOARD CHARGING (OBCM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the EVCU VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to EVCU VERIFICATION TEST .
