VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on vehicle work order.
Is this DTC active at this time?

Yes
- Perform the U0001-87-CAN C BUS - NO SIGNAL diagnostic procedure. Refer to U0001-87-CAN C BUS - MISSING MESSAGE .
No
- Perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure. Refer to STORED LOST COMMUNICATION DTCS .
