Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    NOTE:
    NOTE:  If there are active High Voltage system DTCs in other modules, repair those DTCs before proceeding. 

    Turn the ignition on, not in ready mode.

    1. Using the scan tool, record and erase EAC DTCs.
    2. Turn the ignition off. Wait one minute.
    3. Turn the ignition on. Wait one minute.
    4. Using the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active with no other High Voltage System DTCs?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2.

      No 

      • The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this time. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. ELECTRIC A/C COMPRESSOR 
    1. Turn the ignition on, not in ready mode.
    2. Using the scan tool, record and erase EAC DTCs.
    3. Turn the ignition off. Wait one minute.
    4. Turn the ignition on. Wait one minute.
    5. Using the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Verify proper operation of the High Voltage Battery Pack Assembly. If Battery Pack Assembly is OK, replace the EAC. Refer to COMPRESSOR, ELECTRIC AIR CONDITIONING (EAC), REMOVAL .
      • The EAC cannot be repaired and must be replaced if found inoperative or damaged. If an internal failure of the EAC has occurred, The A/C Condenser must also be replaced.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
