Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, clear all DTCs.
- Turn the Park Lamps on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE SIDE MARKER LAMPS AND BULBS NOTE:
This DTC will set if all the Side Marker Bulbs are disconnected or bunt out.
- Inspect the harness connectors at the Side Marker Lamps for correct connection.
- Inspect the Side Marker Lamps for burnt out or damaged bulbs.
Are any concerns present?
Yes
- Replace the Side Marker Bulbs or Lamps as necessary in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to LAMP, SIDE MARKER, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- CHECK THE (L17) PARK LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Left and Right Side Marker Lamp harness connectors.
- Disconnect the BCM C2 harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (L17) Park Lamps Driver circuit between the Left Right Side Marker Lamp harness connector and the BCM C2 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Repair the open in the (L17) Park Lamps Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
