  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
    1. With the scan tool, read Body Control Module (BCM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
    3. Cycle the ignition on to off three times.
    4. Turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds.
    5. With the scan tool, read the BCM DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes

      • Go To  2

      No

      • The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension. If no problems are found, test complete.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. CHECK THE IMMOBILIZER ANTENNA
    1. With the scan tool, erase the BCM DTCs.
    2. Turn the ignition off.
    3. Remove the Immobilizer Antenna from the ignition switch and disconnect the harness connector.
    4. Connect a jumper wire between the (D111) Antenna Signal circuit and the (D931) Antenna Shield circuit at the Immobilizer Antenna harness connector.
    5. Cycle the ignition on to off three times.
    6. Turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds.
    7. With the scan tool, read the BCM DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes

      • Replace the Immobilizer Antenna in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

      No

      • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE (D111) ANTENNA SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM) C3 harness connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the (D111) Antenna Signal circuit between the Immobilizer Antenna harness connector and the Body Control Module C3 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 2.0 Ohms?

      Yes

      • Go To  4

      No

      • Repair the open in the (D111) Antenna Signal circuit.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  4. CHECK THE (D931) ANTENNA SHIELD CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
    1. Measure the resistance of the (D931) Antenna Shield circuit between the Immobilizer Antenna harness connector and the Body Control Module C3 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 2.0 Ohms?

      Yes

      No

      • Repair the open in the (D931) Antenna Shield circuit.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
