Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
    3. Close all doors and try to operate the door locks several times.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension. If the problem ever returns, replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. ACTUATE DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK RELAYS 
    1. Be sure the doors are still closed (or trip the door latch - Closed).
    2. With the scan tool, actuate the Lock Doors Command one time.
    3. With the scan tool, actuate the Passenger Door Unlock one time.
    4. With the scan tool, actuate the Driver Door Unlock one time.
    5. Repeat the previous steps three times.
    6. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
    7. Operate the door locks several times.
    8. Wait 30 seconds.
    9. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      No
