Diagnostic Test

TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Try to open and close the trunk (liftgate) several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Test complete. the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension. If the problem ever returns, replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
ACTUATE DOOR TRUNK RELAYS
1. If the trunk is open, trip the latch closed.
2. With the scan tool, actuate the Trunk Release Relay one time.
3. If the latch released, trip the latch closed.
4. Repeat the previous steps three times.
5. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
6. Operate the trunk latch several times.
7. Wait 30 seconds.
8. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Body Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test complete.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
