Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. CHECK FOR A INCORRECT RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL BULB 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
    3. Inspect the Right Front urn Lamp Bulb part number for a correct part number.

      Is the Right Front Turn Lamp Bulb part number correct?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

      • Replace the Right Front Turn Lamp Bulb in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  3. CHECK FOR A INCORRECT RIGHT REAR TURN SIGNAL BULB 
    1. Disconnect the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector.
    2. Inspect the Right Rear Turn Lamp Bulb part number for a correct part number.

      Is the Right Rear Turn Lamp Bulb part number correct?

      Yes 

      • Go To  4

      No 

      • Replace the Right Rear Turn Lamp Bulb in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  4. CHECK THE BCM FOR CORRECT OPERATION 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Connect a 12-volt test light between ground and the (L60) Right Front Turn Lamp Driver circuit at the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Apply the Brake Pedal.
    5. Repeat these steps for the (L62) Right Rear Turn Lamp Driver circuit at the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector.

      Does the test light illuminate brightly for both connections?

      Yes 

      No
