Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK FOR AN INOPERATIVE RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP
- CHECK THE (L60) RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN IN THE HARNESS
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
- Disconnect the BCM C1 harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (L60) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit between the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector and the BCM C3 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair the open in the (L60) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (Z910) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance of the (Z910) Ground circuit at the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 7
No
- Repair the open in the (Z910) Ground circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Measure the resistance of the (Z910) Ground circuit at the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
- CHECK THE (L62) RIGHT REAR TURN SIGNAL DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN IN THE HARNESS
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
- Disconnect the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector.
- Measure the resistance of the (L62) Right Rear Turn Signal Driver circuit between the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector and the BCM C3 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 6
No
- Repair the open in the (L62) Right Rear Turn Signal Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (Z941) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance of the (Z941) Ground circuit at the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 7
No
- Repair the open in the (Z941) Ground circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Measure the resistance of the (Z941) Ground circuit at the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector.
- CHECK THE BCM FOR CORRECT OPERATION
- Turn the ignition off.
- Connect the C1 and C3 harness connectors.
- Connect a 12-volt test light between ground and the (L60) Right Front Turn Signal Driver circuit at the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Activate the Right Turn Signal.
- Repeat these steps for the (L62) Right Rear Turn Lamp Driver circuit at the Right Tail Lamp Assembly harness connector.
Does the test light illuminate brightly for both connections?
Yes
- Replace the faulty Right Turn Signal Bulb in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, LOWER, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the BCM in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
