Diagnostic Test

  1. VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Using the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.

      Is the DTC active at this time?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. VERIFY THAT THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT (EVCU) IS ACTIVE ON THE BUS 
    1. Using the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
    2. Verify that the EVCU is active on the bus.

      Is the EVCU active on the bus?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

  3. REGENERATIVE BRAKE CONTROLLER (RBC) 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Replace the Regenerative Brake Controller (RBC) in accordance with service information. Refer to CONTROLLER, REGENERATIVE BRAKE (RBC), REMOVAL .
    3. Perform the RBC VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RBC VERIFICATION TEST .
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. Using the scan tool, read ABS DTCs.

      Does the DTC remain active?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Test complete.
