Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION NOTE:
Use a known good USB device to perform the following tests.
- Using the scan tool, record and erase the CTM DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
- Connect a known good USB device into the USB port.
- Using the scan tool, read the active CTM DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active: B1007-00-INTERNAL ERROR - USB UNAVAILABLE?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - BODY VERIFICATION TEST - 500 - EXCEPT ELECTRIC .
- CHECK THE CONNECTORS AND HARNESS
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the CTM harness connector.
- Disconnect the USB port connector.
- Inspect the connectors and harness between the USB port and the CTM.
Are there any issues with the harness or connectors?
Yes
- Repair or replace as needed.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - BODY VERIFICATION TEST - 500 - EXCEPT ELECTRIC .
No
- Replace the Convergence Telematics Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, CONVERGENCE TELEMATICS, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - BODY VERIFICATION TEST - 500 - EXCEPT ELECTRIC .
