Housing-Air Inlet

NOTE:

If the foam seal on the inlet housing is deformed or damaged, the seal must be replaced.

  1. Position the air inlet housing (2) onto the HVAC housing (5).
  2. Install the three screws (1 and 3) that secure the air inlet housing to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 0.8 N.m (7 in. lbs.).
  3. Connect the wire harness connector (6) to the recirculation door actuator (4).

  4. On Manual Temperature Control (MTC) equipped models, install the blower motor resistor (2) and screws (3 and 5) onto the bottom of the air inlet housing (1) and connect the wire harness connector (4). Tighten the screws to 0.8 N.m (7 in. lbs.).
  5. Install the HVAC housing assembly. Refer to HOUSING, HVAC, INSTALLATION .
