Throttle Body: Installation: 1.4L

Check the condition of the throttle body-to-intake manifold seal (1). The seal can be reused if not damaged.
Clean the mating surfaces of the throttle body and intake manifold.

Install the throttle body (1) to the intake manifold. Tighten three bolts (2), one stud bolt (3) in a criss-cross pattern sequence to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).

Install the charge air cooler outlet hose from the throttle body and tighten the clamp (2).
Engage the EVAP purge hose retaining clips (3) to the throttle body.
Connect and lock the wire harness connector (1) to the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC).
Install the engine cover.
Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
