Pump, Water: Removal: 1.4L

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Remove the timing belt. For 1.4L 16-Valve engine, refer to BELT, TIMING, REMOVAL . For 1.4L 16-Valve turbo engine, refer to BELT, TIMING, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the screws (1) and the nut (2) securing the water pump to the engine block.

  4. Remove the water pump (2) from the engine block by lightly prying at the upper tab (1) located on the pump assembly.
