Diagnostic Test

AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT
1. Inspect the vehicle for an air bag deployment.
  Has there been an air bag deployment?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Go To 3
ACTIVE DTC
1. Perform the SERVICE AFTER A SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT DEPLOYMENT procedure in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SERVICE AFTER A SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM DEPLOYMENT .
2. Perform a visual inspection of the High Voltage Battery Pack for external damage.
3. With the scan tool, perform the Reset High Voltage Impact Event routine located in Misc. Functions of the Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) section of the scan tool.
  NOTE:
  This routine will move the P167B DTC from Active to Stored in the BPCM, Electric Vehicle Control Unit (EVCU) and Power Inverter Module (PIM).
4. With the scan tool, erase the Stored DTCs from the BPCM, EVCU and PIM.
5. Turn the ignition off and close all doors. Wait two minutes.
6. Turn the ignition on. Wait two minutes.
7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
  Did DTC P167B-00-CONTROLLED SYSTEM SHUTDOWN set in the BPCM, EVCU or PIM?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Module that reset this DTC in accordance with the Service Information.
  - Perform the BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE (BPCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BPCM VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test complete.
CHECK FOR VEHICLE DAMAGE
1. Inspect the vehicle for damage which may or may not have involved an air bag deployment.
  Has the vehicle experienced an impact event?
  
  Yes
  - Perform a visual inspection of the High Voltage Battery Pack for external damage.
  No
  - Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) diagnostic procedure. Refer to NO RESPONSE FROM BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) .
