With Manual Transmission

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
Drain the engine oil. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the exhaust crossunder pipe. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM - 500 article.

Remove three bolts (1) from the flywheel dust cover.
Remove the two lower transmission bell housing bolts (2).

NOTE:
The flywheel dust cover (2) is bolted to the oil pan and cannot be removed at this time.

Remove fourteen bolts (1), two nuts and two studs (2) from the flange of the oil pan.
Using the four indicated pry points, carefully remove the oil pan and flywheel dust cover.

Remove the bolt (1) and the flywheel dust cover (2) from the oil pan.

Remove all residual sealant (1) from the oil pan, engine block, oil pump and rear seal retainer. Refer to CLEANING .
