With Manual Transmission

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .
- Drain the engine oil. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the viscosity sensor (2).
- Remove the maniverter (4). Refer to MANIFOLD, EXHAUST, REMOVAL .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING .
- Remove the rear engine mount bracket bolt (3) and nut (6).
- Remove two bolts (2 and 4) and remove the rear engine mount bracket (5).
- Remove two bolts (2) and the blocker plate (1) from the oil pan.
- Remove the two bolts (1) from the flywheel dust cover.
NOTE:
The flywheel dust cover is bolted to the oil pan and cannot be removed at this time.
- Remove the two lower transmission bell housing bolts (3).
- Remove fourteen bolts (1), two nuts and two studs (2) from the flange of the oil pan.
- Using the four indicated pry points, carefully remove the oil pan and flywheel dust cover.
- Remove the bolt (1) and the flywheel dust cover (2) from the oil pan.
- Remove all residual sealant (1) from the oil pan, engine block, oil pump and rear seal retainer. Refer to CLEANING .
