Jacking And Hoisting Lift Points - BEV
Refer to Owner's Manual provided with vehicle for proper emergency jacking procedures.
The hoisting and jack lifting points provided are for a complete vehicle. When the engine or rear suspension is removed from a vehicle, the center of gravity is altered making some hoisting conditions unstable. Properly support or secure vehicle to hoisting device when these conditions exist. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.
When placing hoist lift pads, use care to avoid contact with the body side sill and body cladding.
When hoisting or using a floor jack to raise the FIAT 500e, it is important to utilize the proper lift points of the vehicle (1). The high-voltage battery system is located under the vehicle as well as orange high-voltage cabling. Damage to these high-voltage components could occur if proper lifting techniques are not followed.
When properly positioned, a floor jack can be used to lift the vehicle and support the raised vehicle with jack stands.
A floor jack or any lifting device must never be used on any part of the underbody other than the described areas.
A hoist lift pad (1) equipped with a rubber mat (2) or equivalent, is preferred when lifting the Fiat 500.
