Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Fiat 500. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the input from the Left Multi-function Switch indicating that high beam lamp illumination is requested. The BCM provides a ground path through the high beam relay control circuit. The high beam relay control circuit connects to the High Beam or Main Headlights Relay, which when energized provides voltage to the shutters in the Headlamps. The High Beam or Main Headlights Relay is located in the Power Distribution Center. For additional information on the Headlamps operation. Refer to HEADLAMPS .
