Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Fiat 500. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives the input from the Lower Switch Bank indicating that fog lamp illumination is requested. The BCM provides a ground path through the rear fog lamp relay control circuit. The rear fog lamp relay control circuit connects to the Rear Fog Lamp Relay, which when energized provides battery voltage to the Rear Fog Lamp. The Fog Lamp Relay is located in the Power Distribution Center. For additional information on the Rear Fog Lamp operation. Refer to FRONT FOG LAMPS .
